CEILA — Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the CEILA app ("CEILA," "the app," "the Service"), provided by xchiral. By downloading, installing, or using CEILA, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What CEILA is — and is not

CEILA is a crystal-companion and reflection app. It offers stone selections, guided rituals, and an AI conversational feature ("Ask Universe") intended for personal reflection, mindfulness, and entertainment purposes only.

CEILA does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and nothing in the app should be treated as such. CEILA makes no claim — implicit or explicit — that any crystal, stone, ritual, affirmation, or spiritual practice offered in the app can or will produce any specific real-world outcome, including but not limited to changes in health, finances, relationships, or life circumstances. Any guidance, affirmation, or "manifestation" content presented is offered for reflective and entertainment purposes and is not a guarantee of any result. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, contact emergency services or a qualified professional — not this app.

Ask Universe and AI-generated content

Ask Universe uses a third-party AI provider (currently DeepSeek) to generate responses. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or simply wrong, and does not reflect the views of xchiral. You are responsible for how you interpret and act on anything Ask Universe says. Do not rely on it for decisions with real financial, medical, legal, or safety consequences.

To keep the Service usable and sustainable for everyone, Ask Universe currently allows for a fair-use limit of up to 100 messages per user per day. We may adjust this limit, or begin technically enforcing it where it is not already enforced, at any time without prior notice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use CEILA to:

• Violate any applicable law or the rights of others;
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the app, Ask Universe, or any underlying service;
• Submit content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes on someone else's rights; or
• Use the Service in any way not reasonably intended by its design.

Subscriptions, billing, and free trials

CEILA offers optional auto-renewing subscription plans, purchased and managed entirely through your Apple ID / the App Store. The exact price, currency, and any introductory offer for each plan are set by App Store Connect and shown to you by Apple at the time of purchase — those figures are the authoritative ones, not any example below.

As currently configured, CEILA's plans are intended to work as follows:

• Annual: a 3-day free trial, after which the subscription automatically renews at the plan's regular annual price (currently $19.99/year) unless cancelled before the trial ends.
• Monthly: billed at the plan's regular monthly price (currently $3.99/month). Whether this plan includes a free trial, and its length, is whatever the Monthly product is actually configured to offer in the App Store at the time of your purchase — the app only ever displays a free-trial offer for this plan when Apple confirms one is actually attached to it.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew for the same duration and at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, at any time in your device's Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial, where applicable under Apple's own policies.

We do not process or store your payment card details — all payment is handled directly by Apple. Refunds are governed entirely by Apple's own policies; CEILA has no ability to independently issue a refund.

Restoring purchases

If you reinstall CEILA or use it on a new device, use "Restore Purchases" on the paywall to re-link any active subscription associated with your Apple ID, at no additional charge.

Limitation of liability

CEILA is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, xchiral is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any decisions made based on Ask Universe content or any other in-app guidance. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes to these Terms

If these Terms change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of CEILA after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
